A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to non-existent addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss messages because the other party has an outdated address or has made a typographical error. The drawback of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited messages, but this issue can be rectified using anti-spam protection software. It’s also essential to know that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will permit you to create a catch-all e-mailbox effortlessly even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you’ve created with your domain names in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you have already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you do not need the feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
