When you've got an e-mail and you activate forwarding for it, all inbound emails will be sent to a third-party email address of your choosing. The e-mail sender will not be aware of this and he will send the message just to the original address. This kind of function is useful if you have multiple sites, each one with a separate email address for contact, for instance. By forwarding all messages to a single email, it will be simpler for you to monitor and never miss an e-mail message as you have overlooked to check a specific e-mail address. If you have a company, you are able to take advantage of this function to monitor the emails received by various departments. A further advantage is the fact that it is possible to use an official email address for some needs, let’s say admin@your-domain.com, and you can now get all emails sent to it in your private mailbox. You can also forward e-mail messages from a single e-mail to multiple ones, if a number of individuals needs to be involved with the email communication.

E-mail Forwarding in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you have a semi-dedicated server through us, you'll need only a couple of clicks inside the Email Manager area of your Hepsia Hosting Control Panel to forward any of the email addresses created on our end to a third-party e-mail address. Inside the same area you will also have the ability to observe how many of your email addresses are forwarded and exactly where the inbound e-mails are going. It is easy to activate or disable a forwarding account at any time and during the process you can also decide whether a backup of the emails needs to be maintained on our servers or not. Even though this feature is not a must have, it is very helpful since you will get a backup of the emails on our end in case that anything occurs with the third-party mailbox. Even if they've got only a short-term problem, you risk losing email messages as the moment our server receives and forwards an e-mail, absolutely nothing will be kept on our end unless you selected a backup to be stored.
